- Currency Converter Manual -

    Version 1.2
The manual will be updated soon, for now check the Version 1.1 manual.

The most important update however needs some explaining. The Currency Converter can now use either Pacific or IMF. Pacific uses some 220 currencies, but the Euro is not (yet?) linked. IMF is still implemented in the program but only uses 50 currencies with all the Euroland currencies fixed to the Euro.

By default Pacific Commerce is used by the program. If you want to keep using IMF for now, see the settings-tab and switch the source-combobox to IMF.

For now, experiment a bit with the converter. Most is self explaining or written about below.

    Version 1.1
This program has 5 tabs. The first tab-sheet is for converting to and from your preferred currencies. Select your preferred currency in the Settings-tab. (Make sure you save your changes) Just enter the amount of money in one of the boxes and the program does the math. The Copy and Paste buttons are for copying and pasting to the clipboard. With these functions, you can easily convert money from spreadsheets or other documents.

On the second-tab, you can convert between the other selected currencies. Enter the amount on the left, select the currency in the left combobox. Then, in the right combo-box select the currency you want it in and done. Want to convert something back? Just press the 'switch'-button and enter the amount.

The Settings-tab is command-center tab. With this tab, you can select your preferred currencies for tab 1 and select the amount of decimals you want to use. Also, a lot of other settings can be changed here. So, check it out.

The Rates-tab is the 4th tab. Not all 50 currencies are in use by default. You can manually select which of the 50 currencies you want to use regularly. Check the boxes in front of the currency-names in the Rates-tab. It will then add them automatically to the combo-boxes in the program.

Also, you can update the Exchange rates from the Internet IMF-site here, by pressing the 'Internet Update'-button. You can also edit the Exchange-rate manually by pressing the right button on the currency you want edited. If you want to save the updated exchange rates remember pressing the Save-button, or select 'save rates at exit' in the setting-tab. If you edit the rates manually, enter the amount of money you would pay for one US$. It's even possible to add your own currencies in this tab. You do have to update it yourself then, of course.

The fifth tab has some legal information. Be sure to read that. It says something like 'No warranties, your risk.' DO read it carefully though. I also list the exchange/conversion rates I used there at run-time. You can also find my name, program version, release date and a copyright-notice there.

More will probably be added later.
